a Paloma, the underrated cousin of the margarita. Don't get me wrong there's absolutely nothing wrong with a margarita...but if you're looking to change things up today for Cinco de Mayo, try this super simple Paloma recipe!
I'm taking some inspo from Cheryl's Health Lazy Chef rules using only 5 ingredients and all natural flavors.
My own rule when it comes to cocktails is to try and use quality ingredients. That means, invest in a good tequila, sparking water, and make sure those grapefruits smell real nice. And this does not always mean you have to break the bank on these top-shelf items. It just means spending a little more time to search for quality will go a long way.
My favorite tequilas for mixing that are less than $30: Greenbar Distillery, Teremana, Cazadores, Casamigos.
My favorite grapefruit flavored sparkling water is Topo Chico.
I love this recipe because it's easy, but also the sparkling water will lightly sweeten the drink without adding any sugar. But if you want it more on the sweeter side, feel free to add some tonic to the mix. Fevertree is a great tonic with all natural ingredients.
Salud!
